Safety Measures

Dear Valued Customer,

Since 2007 our commitment to you has been to offer quality footwear for all walks of life.

Many sectors of the essential workforce, including but not limited to healthcare, restaurant, grocery and food industries are required to wear footwear that meets employer guidelines and regulations. This requirement, for example, includes slip resistant outsoles, closed toe shoes and OSHA certified footwear. At Indigo Plum we have always offered brands of footwear for men and women that meet these requirements. We are committed to supplying the essential workforce in our community with this personal protective equipment.

 In an effort to limit the spread of COVID-19 we remained open with limited staffing and hours of operation offering curbside pick-up only.  Our in-store services are now offered with increased safety measures and protocols. Curbside pick-up, phone and website orders are encouraged. Please see our store hours here.

Safety Measures at Indigo Plum

  • Staff will not be sizing feet or helping put shoes on at this time.
  • All shoes boxes and packaging will be unwrapped in the back. Only the shoes will be brought out for the customer to try on.
  • We have reduced seating to one chair per area and are disinfecting after every customer.
  • A plexiglass barrier has been installed at the cash wrap to shield customers and staff during transactions. Staff will disinfect the counter and barrier after each customer.
  • Hand sanitizers are located at the front entrance and cash register.
  • Gloves are provided at the front entrance and asked to be disposed of upon leaving.
  • Customers must wear gloves when touching or handling any merchandise due to the nature of our textiles not being easily disinfected.
  • Masks are required upon entry. We will provide a disposable mask if a customer does not have one or is not able to get one and come back.
  • Front door will remain open to avoid touching handles.
  • Groups no larger than 2 are permitted.
  • Maximum of 5 customers in the store at one time.
  • Staff and customers must remain 6 feet apart.
  • Staff are required to wear a mask at all times and will wash hands frequently including between helping customers.
  • We ask that customers limit their length of visit in the store, as we hope to help them in a swift manner.
